I discovered my passion for these hard challenges due to university and its challenging environment.
Since I began working on the Gralha Bots drone flight project, ROS and simulation tools have become part of my daily routine
My inspiration for robotics was, in summary, opportunity. During the pandemic, I wasn't busy, so I focused on robots, buying each component weekly.
I'm a Computer Engineering student at the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (2023), and I am 21 years old. My life has been linked to technology since I was born.
Expertise
I am currently a software developer working on autonomous drone systems, leveraging ROS, MAVROS, and PX4 within Gazebo simulation environments. My experience includes developing computer vision algorithms using OpenCV for object detection and recognition from camera images, integrating perception and navigation modules for robotics competitions such as SAE and CBR.
One of the key projects I worked on was Phase 2: "Hang the Hook" of the SAE EletroQuad 2025 competition. In this challenge, the drone was required to autonomously follow a blue line on the ground, approach a clothesline, accurately position itself, release a hook onto a suspended hose, and return to the base.
